Retail Therapy of New Mexico grew out of the efforts of an Irish Dance mom's attempts to supplement her daughter's Irish Dance dreams.  Between travel around the world for competitions and the cost of dance shoes and solo costumes--Irish Dance can be an expensive endeavor!

Beginning as "Alison's Magic Scarves"  in 2002, Alison began selling unique scarves that she couldn't find in regular stores in the local area.  At first, Alison began vending her wares at local gift and craft shows in the Albuquerque area during the holiday season, expanding to "popcorn" apparel in 2004. 

The products were so different and unique, that the local demand dictated she begin selling year round by website!

By 2007, Alison was joined by another Irish Dance mom who was frustrated with the lack of selection in the big box stores found in the local area.  In 2008, when a third daughter began dancing, we began carrying Irish Dance items under the name of iDance and began vending at Irish Dance events their daughters competed in!

We specialize in clever, fun, and affordable items that won't be part of a big box store's inventory or big chain's merchandise.
